SOLDEN GLACIER FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS
The positives for family ski holidays at the Rettenbach and Teifenbach Glaciers include the gentle and wide slopes of the glaciers. The normally excellent snow conditions are also a bonus as is the lift system which offers gondola and covered (bubble) chair lifts. Getting to the Rettenbach and Teifenbach Glaciers on skis from the main Solden ski area can involve solely blue pistes (if planned) and both the Rettenbach and Teifenbach Glaciers have base stations will large restaurant facilities.
THE GOOD, THE BAD
We like:
Good snow record, a couple of big restaurants and wide gentle ski pistes
We don`t like:
The glaciers are a fair distance to reach from Solden either by road or on skis

SOLDEN GLACIER FAMILY SKI INFORMATION
The downsides for families include the physical distance that is required to actually access the Rettenbach and Teifenbach Glaciers. Several lifts, including the Glacier Express gondola are required to access the Rettenbach and Teifenbach Glaciers, from either Hochsolden or Solden. The alternative way to get to the Rettenbach and Teifenbach Glaciers is via road (weather permitting) and the road has many sharp bends as it climbs steeply - not ideal for kids full of breakfast.
