SAALBACH APRÈS SKI

Saalbach has won awards for its après ski scene. There are numerous après ski bars close to the ski pistes as well as in the village centre of Saalbach. Mountain huts above some of the lower and gentle blue pistes are the place that many choose to start activities. Never underestimate a skiers’ power of denial when sat on a sunny terrace, with a glass of beer and looking down on Saalbach at the end of what appears to be an easy blue. Only the chosen few can move better on skis than ski boots after a number of beers.

SAALBACH APRÈS SKI INFO

In the zone between the church and the ski pistes, there is a cluster of après ski bars on the edge of the ski slopes that are a popular stopping off point for many. They feature après ski umbrella bars on terraces as well as some indoor facilities. Saalbach certainly has its fair share of watering holes both on the mountain and in the village. Saalbach also has what some view as a seedier offering, in the form of ‘gentlemens entertainment’.

The BUSC main event week meant that prices were good, plus acts such like the scratch perverts and urban knights meant an awesome atmosphere.
