SAALBACH FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS

There are a few things to recommend Saalbach for families, whilst the nightlife is something of a negative. The fact that the lifts all leave from fairly central areas where much of the accommodation in Saalbach is located is welcome. There are also kids ski areas located in the centre of Saalbach and a number of ski runs reach back into the resort. The centre of Saalbach is pedestrianised and whilst après ski in Saalbach is pretty potent, there are some relaxed areas to the ski holiday resort. The skiing is extensive and much of it consists of blue and red pistes in the Bernkogel and Kohlmaiskopf areas.

SAALBACH FAMILY SKI INFORMATION

One of the downsides to the resort which styles itself as the apres ski capital of the region, is that it has chosen the market segment which does little to create a peaceful and welcoming family atmosphere. Families visit Saalbach in good numbers and surely many have a great time. But the centre of Saalbach is certainly alive and loud with apres ski till late.

Very family-orientated. Enrolling in the kids classes on the first morning, you will quickly see just how many families there are!
