Scheffau, Austria ski holiday resort guide. Scheffau is about the prettiest ski holiday resort in the Ski Welt ski region.

SCHEFFAU THE RESORT
Scheffau is a charming resort that relies heavily on the facilities provided by the accommodation located there. Hotels can offer a good range of amenities but visitors wanting a wide range of entertainment and facilities will be disappointed. The resort is one of the most attractive in the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser ski region and ideal for those wanting a relaxed atmosphere and to have their entertainment and evenings spent in the hotels.
THE GOOD, THE BAD
We like:
Small pretty village accessing the Ski Welt area
We don`t like:
Small means fewer facilities than nearby villages

SCHEFFAU RESORT INFORMATION
The other main gripes visitors have with Scheffau, beyond the resort facilities is the location of the resort. Scheffau is one of the quieter and more peaceful resorts in the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser ski region. A main road runs by and sometimes through all the main villages in the ski region whereas Scheffau is set back from this road. This allows it a more peaceful atmosphere. However the location is disadvantaged by the dislocation between the village and the ski lifts. It is possible to ski down from accommodation in Scheffau to the lifts that re located on the other side of the main road at Blaiken, although a ski bus is required to take guests back to their accommodation. So Scheffau is ski-out but not ski-in; frustrating or half good according to your outlook.
