SCHEFFAU SKI HOLIDAYS

Scheffau is another of the ski holiday resorts that access the huge lift-linked ski area of Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser. It neighbours of Ellmau and Soll offer bigger resorts but Scheffau has a good deal to recommend it, principally the charming village. Scheffau has access to the heart of the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser ski region and access is via two lifts that are located at the bottom of the ski piste running out of Scheffau. Being centrally located on the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser, ski safaris from Scheffau to all the peripheral areas of the region are possible. For better skiers and boarders it is possible to ski into Westendorf (via the new gondola from Brixen) and on into the Kitzbuhel ski area.

SCHEFFAU SKI HOLIDAY INFO

The ski resort of Scheffau is attractive, compact and is centrally located in the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser ski region. The main downside is the disconnection between the village of Scheffau and the ski lifts that access the ski area above Scheffau. Scheffau is charming but quiet and lacks the facilities of the bigger resorts. For intermediate skiers and those wanting to cover a lot of km’s then Scheffau is one of the best located ski areas within the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser ski region. It is possible to reach the fringes of the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser ski area and beyond from Scheffau. Advanced skiing around the Hohe Salve is also easy to access.
