SCHRUNS SKI HOLIDAYS

Schruns is possibly the most authentic and well equipped ski holiday resort in the Montafon ski holiday region. Schruns is connected to the national railway network and has a thriving local population, making it reliably Austrian in atmosphere. Skiing is available in the nearby Hochjoch ski area, one of main ski regions in Montafon. Accessing the Hochjoch ski area, Schruns has 2 lifts leaving the edge of the village / town whilst the Hochjoch ski region is an interesting and scenic combination of 2 high altitude bowls. The views from the Hochjoch ski area are superb, whilst the skiing is best suited to intermediates. There is a large kids learning area and a long blue piste winds down to the neighbouring ski holiday resort of Silbertal.

SCHRUNS SKI HOLIDAY INFO

The ski holiday resort of Schruns is in fact more of a large village or town with many locals from Montafon living there. Services and transport reflect the year round nature of the resort. Access to the Hochjoch ski area is possible by lifts located on the 2 edges of Schruns. A mainline railway station is located in Schruns. The skiing available in Schruns consists of the nearby Hochjoch ski area, whilst across the valley, the Golm ski area is also within pretty easy reach. These are 2 of the 4 principal ski areas in Montafon, although buses also connect to the Gargellen and Silvretta Nova ski areas from Schruns.
