SOLDEN FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS
Solden is one of the mega resorts in Austria and comes with a wide range of hotel and locally provided amenities. Accommodation is available on the slopes at Hochsolden as well as slope-side lodging above Solden itself. The choice of accommodation is huge. Skiing in Solden is varied but there are excellent beginner and intermediate slopes on the glaciers and the ski schools in Solden offer a variety of facilities and courses for children.
THE GOOD, THE BAD
We like:
Many facilities in both the resort and hotels
We don`t like:
Some accommodation reliant on ski buses. Busy main road.

SOLDEN FAMILY SKI INFORMATION
Two of the things that detract from Solden resort as a family ski holiday destination are the busy main road and the apres ski, which is some of the liveliest in the Alps. Fortunately both are located together and those wanting to avoid the heavy traffic and the apres ski mayhem can do so fairly easily. Much of the skiing is above the tree-line, especially higher up, which can be a problem in bad weather.
