SOLDEN THE RESORT

The ski resort of Solden and its higher neighbour, Hochsolden offer a huge choice of accommodation and entertainment. The ski holiday resort of Solden stretches for some distance along the main road through the Otztal valley. Accommodation, bars and resort facilities are located the length of the road and the main lift stations leave from this location. Of the two, Solden dominates in terms of size, numbers of visitors and evening entertainment. Hochsolden offers a quieter retreat with ski-in, ski-out accommodation and far from the madness in the valley below. The resort is certainly lively with one of the best apres ski scenes anywhere. The main road running through the resort is where most of the activity is concentrated.

SOLDEN RESORT INFORMATION

Solden is widely acknowledged as one of the most vibrant ski holiday resorts in the Alps. Visitors wanting a bit more peace and quiet can find it in the accommodation and amenities that are set back form the road, either towards the ski area or across the river that runs through the valley. Fortunately for the guest seeking this slower pace in Solden, the 2 main noise centres, the main road and apres ski bars, are located together. This means that avoidance is a fairly straightforward option.
