ST ANTON APRES SKI

St Anton has some of the best apres ski in Austria. The apres ski usually begins some time after lunch although as with everything there are exceptions and early starters. There are a cluster of apres ski huts above St Anton including the famous Mooserwirt that offer some of the best ski boot dancing to some of the worst Austrian remixed masterpieces. Tables are stages and despite the huts closing around 9pm to avoid complete carnage, the pistes that run down to St Anton from the huts are often littered with bodies, skis, poles, gloves and everything else that can be torn from a inebriated skier or boarder. The apres ski action continues apace in St Anton itself with numerous bars and clubs going to the early hours.

ST ANTON APRES SKI

Apres ski in St Anton is somewhat different to apres ski in Solden or Ischgl in that it centres on the mountain huts before moving onto the central bars. There are also some bars and clubs offering slightly better music than remixed versions of the A-Team theme. Apres ski on a more sedate level includes night time tobogganing, sleigh rides and sampling the excellent local cuisine at one of the many restaurants in St Anton. The wellness and spa facilities that occupy the old site of the St Anton railway station offer swimming, spa treatments and an outdoor ice rink.
