ST CHRISTOPH SKIING
The combined St Anton / St Christoph ski area is rated as the best in Austria, primarily it must be said because of the sizeable portion that makes up the St Anton ski area. The combined area has a great lift system, extensive ski pistes that stretch far into the Arlberg and advanced, expert and extreme terrain that is some of the best in Europe. The ski area above St Christoph itself consists of some pretty gentle and wide open ski pistes. There is a small beginners ski area right at the edge of St Christoph and a couple of lifts accessing the St Christoph area and beyond into the St Anton area. Whilst not extensive, the ski area above St Christoph is high with a great snow record and importantly it readily connects to the St Anton area.

ST CHRISTOPH SKI INFORMATION
Both in the morning and afternoon, St Christoph offers a better option to access and depart the ski area above St Anton, than from St Anton itself. The main lift out of St Christoph runs from a central location meaning access to the St Anton area is swift. And at the end of the day, the crowded and chopped-up pistes that run down to St Anton are in stark contrast to the wide, groomed pistes back down to St Christoph. One issue of the skiing starting so high in St Christoph is that all the skiing is above the tree-line, which can give poor visibility in bad weather.
