STUBAI GLACIER SKI HOLIDAYS

The Stubai Glacier is the principal glacier skiing area serving the Innsbruck region of Austria and offers pretty much year round skiing on its upper slopes. The Stubai Glacier has a modern ski lift system and often has superb snow throughout the winter. The height of the Stubai Glacier ensures that even without the summer skiing, the seasons are exceptionally long and from October through to June, you can reasonably expect a good sized ski area with impressive snow conditions. The Stubai Glacier is served mainly by the ski holiday resort of Neustift, which is a fair sized resort consisting of low rise and attractive buildings. There are good facilities in Neustift as well as its own ski area and good links to Innsbruck.

STUBAI GLACIER SKI HOLIDAY INFO

The skiing on the Stubai Glacier is superb for both beginners and intermediates. The snow is often excellent and the pistes are wide and gentle, great for cruising and improving on. Advanced skiers and boarders have less to choose from. For families the excellent lift system and the impressive kids learning area at Gamsgarten ski station are great features. Ski buses or private transport are required to access the glacier and it can be cold in the height of the winter.
