STUBEN THE RESORT

Stuben is located at the heart of the Arlberg region and receives one of the highest snowfall accumulations of any Austrian resort. The compact centre of Stuben looks quite stunning when drenched in snow through the winter months. The main road though the Alrberg passes close to the village but the centre of Stuben is shielded from this by its narrow streets. Stuben has a real tranquillity and peace about it and the atmosphere of the main pedestrianised street through the village is pretty special. The main lift leaves from a central point close to the church and there are a number of restaurants with terraces to enjoy the afternoon sun and a drink.

STUBEN RESORT INFORMATION

Visitors to Stuben have some of the more meagre facilities available in the Arlberg. Stuben covers possibly a bigger area than Zurs or St Christoph but it lacks the large hotels of these two resorts. And in these large hotels in Zurs and St Christoph, there are numerous leisure and entertainment facilities. Stuben is pretty upmarket (in keeping with the Arlberg generally) and the quality of hotels is impressive, however they are smaller with fewer facilities than neighbouring villages. Stuben is also too small and quaint to compete with the mighty resort of Lech and St Anton. For skiing, atmosphere and charm then Stuben is equal to anything in the Arlberg, for facilities then it is wonderfully short of the bigger local resorts.

Much better value than it's bigger neighbours. Stayed at Hubertushof which was hard to fault, Great staff, food and facilites, Stuben itself does lack other amenities
