TSCHAGGUNS SKIING

Those spending a ski holiday in the Montafon ski holiday resort of Tschagguns are most likely to ski or snowboard in either the Hochjoch or Golm ski areas. The alternative and most local ski area for Tschagguns is the Grabs ski area although this is a very small ski area and is popular with winter walkers. The Grabs ski area would be of no interest to anyone other than a beginner or a family group. On the same side of the valley to Grabs and just above Tschagguns is the Golm ski area. Those staying in Tschagguns can either transfer to Vandans, just down the valley or drive up to the second stage of the gondola that links Vandans and the Golm ski area. The advantage of accessing the Golm skiing via Vandans is the long ski out to Vandans.

TSCHAGGUNS SKI INFORMATION

The Golm ski area is ideal for beginners and intermediates but has less for better skiers or boarders. Across the valley from the Golm and Grabs ski areas is the Hochjoch ski area, one of the best ski areas in Montafon. The skiing in Hochjoch takes place in 2 natural tree-less bowls. The pistes in Hochjoch tend to be wide and gentle and the views are often superb. At the Kapell lift complex on Hochjoch is a dedicated kids learning area and much of the terrain is ideal for families to progress into. The lift into the Hochjoch ski area is ideally located for access from Tschagguns, being located on the main road through Montafon, on the outskirts of Schruns and close to the resort of Tschagguns.

Tschagguns accesses Golm, Grabs or Hochjoch. Intermediates have a good choice but there is little for good skiers.
