VANDANS SKI HOLIDAYS

The ski holiday resort of Vandans is linked to the Golm ski area by a 3 stage gondola. Golm is one of the principal ski holiday resorts of the Montafon region which boasts 8 separate regions. In reality there are only really 4 ski areas of decent enough size and Golm is certainly one of them. Located near the head of the Montafon ski region, Vandans is one of the easiest ski holiday resorts to access. Vandans is a fair size and has good access to the neighbouring villages of St Anton in Montafon and Schruns. The skiing in Golm is best suited to intermediates and is somewhat unique for the existence of a huge hydro-electric pipe running through the ski area. A ski piste runs back into Vandans from the Golm area, with après ski bars at the lift station.

VANDANS SKI HOLIDAY INFO

The skiing in the Golm area tends to favour the intermediate, with the majority of the ski runs classified red. A token black and some off-piste are on offer for the better skier or boarder. The ski holiday resort of Vandans is a reasonable size and is fairly spread out giving it a relaxed feel. The heart of Vandans is located off the main road running through Montafon so traffic tends to be lighter than some other ski holiday resorts in Montafon.
