WARTH-SCHROCKEN SKI HOLIDAYS
Warth-Schrocken is the largest and highest ski area within the Bregenzerwald ski region. It is reputed to have the biggest snowfall accumulation of any ski area in Europe and has a good mix of terrain for skiers and snowboarders. The ski area is accessed from either of the ski holiday resorts of Warth or Schrocken. Warth in particular is wonderfully located perched on the edge of the valley. Schrocken has no lift out of it but does have a ski route back down to the resort. The ski area is good for beginners and intermediates and on the frequent occasions that it dumps snow, then the Warth-Schrocken is superb for off-piste skiing. The Lech am Arlberg ski area is visible through the valley but not connected to the Warth-Schrocken ski area.
THE GOOD, THE BAD
We like:
More snow falls here than in any other ski area in Europe!
We don`t like:
Little steep stuff on-piste and no tree cover in bad weather
