WESTENDORF THE RESORT

Westendorf is the absolute typical Austrian alpine village. The resort is low-rise, is centred around the main church and has accommodation and the farming community located side-by-side. The main beginners ski area in Westendorf is conveniently located just outside the village centre whilst the gondola accessing the main ski area is some 5 minutes or so out of the centre. Ski buses run between Westendorf and Brixen im Thale. The centre of Westendorf is where the majority of the nightlife is found. Nightlife is good but contained and it is easy to escape the après ski.

WESTENDORF RESORT INFORMATION

For its size, Westendorf is reasonably spread-out. This creates a charming and relaxed atmosphere. It also means that some of the accommodation can be a short walk from the centre and the skiing. Ski buses run around and to and from Westendorf. Whilst the main beginners ski area is ideally locate dint he centre of Westendorf, then the gondola accessing the higher ski areas is 5 minutes or so from the centre and requires a ski bus from much of the accommodation located on the other side of the centre to the lift.

the exchange rate hasnt helped any but coffee and drinks 2-3 euro a go
