WESTENDORF SKI HOLIDAYS

Westendorf offers attractive tree-lined intermediate skiing, a pleasant and fairly lively village centre and access to the huge Kitzbuheler Alpen ski area. The beginner slopes in Westendorf are well located close to the village centre whilst the main lift serving the Talkaser and Fleiding ski areas is located a few minutes from the village centre. The skiing in Westendorf is dominated by intermediate, tree-lined cruisers and there is little to test the better skiers. The Westendorf ski area is now connected by lift to the Kitzbuhel ski area although a bus ride of a coupe of minutes is required near Aschau. In the other direction the extensive Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser region is accessed through the nearby resort of Brixen im Thale.

WESTENDORF SKI HOLIDAY INFO

For skiers wanting intermediate cruisers then Westendorf is ideal. The fact that the Westendorf ski area is not huge is of little concern as the area is linked to the Kitzbuhel ski area on one side and the Ski Welt Wilder Kaiser area on the other. Whilst of this region is best suited to intermediates and beginners there is some advanced terrain available. Westendorf après ski is lively if limited in scope. This is not a Soll or Mayrhofen but does have a number of bars and the atmosphere during the season is lively. There are a number of bars in the centre of Westendorf and some of the mountain huts are the favoured place to kick things off. The après ski scene is compact enough to avoid if required.
