ZAUCHENSEE FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS

The ski-in, ski-out nature of Zauchensee is one of the key advantages of taking a family ski holiday in Zauchensee. Pretty much all the accommodation in Zauchensee has direct access to and from the slopes. This also has the advantage of the local traffic being fairly light. Those visiting Zauchensee are less likely to use their cars and most of those visiting for the day tend to occupy the large car park on the edge of Zauchensee, next to the lift. The skiing in Zauchensee is on the whole pretty tame although there are a few steepish reds. A dedicated kids learning area is located in the centre of Zauchensee.

ZAUCHENSEE FAMILY SKI INFORMATION

Of the 2 ski areas, those of Altenmarkt and Zauchensee, Altenmarkt probably offers the family more than Zauchensee. Altenmarkt does not have the ski-in, ski-out convenience of Zauchensee but the ski area is almost all gentle terrain and there is a real family / beginner feel about it. Guests staying in Zauchensee can also ski in Altenmarkt, using the same ski pass and whilst Altenmarkt offers more in the way of family friendly terrain and atmosphere, Zauchensee offers far more and varied terrain.

Great resort for family holidays. If you have boarders in the family, don't expect to see too much of them once they discover the snow park in Flachau ...
