ZELL AM SEE THE RESORT

Zell am See is one of the most attractively located ski resorts in Austria. The Zeller Lake forms an impressive backdrop and is the scene of skating and walking activity in the winter months. Walking paths around the lake are also available. The centre of Zell am See is pedestrianised and features some impressive bars and restaurants and despite a busy main road through the town, the central pedestrianised area (away from the road) is peaceful and atmospheric. Zell am See is a year-round resort and has numerous big hotels with a good range of facilities.

ZELL AM SEE RESORT INFORMATION

The weeks up to Christmas see the centre of Zell am See turned into a Christmas market with stalls selling food and drink. It is a great place to stop and enjoy the atmosphere of Zell am See pre-Christmas. Zell am See as well linked from both Salzburg and neighbouring ski regions, with wide and straight roads through the valleys. Zell am See is also on the mainline railway network and has a good service from many parts of the country and regional airports.

One of the best, Zell am See has a wonderful lakeside location and great facilities including a mainline train connection. Heavy traffic can detract from the resort atmosphere.
