ZELL AM SEE SKI HOLIDAYS
Zell am See can have few rivals when it comes to the attractiveness of the local area: the Zeller Lake on one side of Zell am See, a ski area above it and views toward the biggest mountain in Austria on another. Zell am See is now very much a year round resort but with its mountain location it is winter when it really impresses. The village has a pretty good local ski area, shares a ski pass with the neighbouring ski area at Kaprun, as well as the local glacier above Kaprun. This helps to ensure snow reliability and quality whatever the conditions in the valley. The resort of Zell am See is located directly on lake Zeller and during the winter months it is possible to walk and skate on the lake. Zell am See has a charming and vibrant town centre.
THE GOOD, THE BAD
We like:
One of the most scenic locations in Austria.
We don`t like:
The lower slopes are steep and can get a lot of sun.

ZELL AM SEE SKI HOLIDAY INFO
The skiing in and around Zell am See is diverse. The local hill above Zell am See offers tree-lined intermediate skiing, as does the nearby ski area above Kaprun. The Kitzsteinhorn Glacier offers a big and snow -sure terrain and both areas are available on one ski pass. Ski buses run between all three ski areas. The resort of Zell am See has few equals – the location is wonderful, right on the shores of Lake Zeller, the views across the nearby glaciers are dramatic and the pedestrianised town centre has a great atmosphere. Zell am See is very much a tourist resort but has good facilities for its size. It also has excellent road and rail connections.
