ZELL AM ZILLER SKIING

The Zillertal Arena ski region (of which Zell am Ziller is a part and accesses directly by ski lift) is one of the best intermediate ski regions on the Alps. The terrain in the Zillertal Arena is varied and absolutely ideal for intermediates wanting to cover long distances. The great aspect of the Zillertal Arena ski region is that the km’s of ski piste are not densely packed and they stretch long in to the distance as far as Salzburg and the Zillertal Arena ski holiday resort of Hochkrimml. The route between the Zell am Ziller and Gerlos ski regions, through the Wilde Krimml area is quite outstanding; not technically tough and the flat sections are really not good for snowboarders but the scenery and the high altitude snow conditions are often really memorable.
