ZURS SKI INFORMATION

The combined Lech – Zurs ski area is one of the best in Austria, possibly even Europe. It is extensive with endless mostly intermediate ski terrain. It is varied, from the high altitude and remote terrain around the Madloch – Joch to the intimate tree-lined runs around Oberlech. The ‘White Ring’ ski circuit loops around the edges of the Lech – Zurs ski area and makes for a great ski safari. It also hosts an annual race with enviable times amongst the winners. The ‘White Ring’ circuit can only be completed on one direction as there is no way to get from Zurs to the peak at Rufikopf where the circuit begins.

ZURS SKI INFORMATION

Whilst most of the skiing in Zurs (and also the combined ski area of Lech – Zurs) favours the intermediate, there is also some pretty decent off-piste in the area and Lech – Zurs is one of the only places in Austria where heli-skiing is permitted. One of the drawbacks to the ski area in Zurs in particular is the fact that most of the skiing is above the tree-line and visibility can be poor in bad weather.

The skiing is great for intermediates and extensive for everyone. a really ski in-skout resort aswell.
