WHISTLER SKI HOLIDAYS

Whistler-Blackcomb is the giant of North American skiing and snowboarding holidays. It boasts the biggest skiable terrain, has some of the biggest snow accumulation in North American and hosts the 2010 Winter Olympics. Whistler-Blackcomb as the name implies is made up of two mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb. The ski holiday resort of Whistler serves the vast terrain and has grown massively in the last 20 years. Whistler Creekside was the latest addition, whilst a new gondola connecting the two ski areas of Whistler and Blackcomb is due to open in 2008. The weather can be bad in Whistler-Blackcomb and the resort is unrecognisable from a few years ago yet Whistler still reigns in North America, often voted as the number 1 resort there.

The Whistler-Blackcomb ski area is vast and continually expanding, the lift system is excellent and the area receives huge snowfall. Off-piste skiing is a dream and steep chutes add to the ski terrain. The resort of Whistler-Blackcomb is getting to be colossal size. Development is fairly attractive and low rise so the village grows outwards. All manner of facilities are available in Whistler. Après ski in Whistler-Blackcomb is legendary. There is a great mix of bars and clubs, combining ski boot après ski and dance clubs. The base lift stations at Whistler-Blackcomb see the early action.
