BRIDES LES BAINS THE RESORT

Brides les Bains is a traditional town that has its roots as a regional spa town. The resort has been affected by the skiing that has taken places several hundreds of metres above it, first as a remote destination that accessed the resorts and more recently as the Olympic Village. Brides les Bains lacks the convenience that Meribel and Courchevel boast, but it also is happily free of the tourist prices and the exclusivity that come with those 3 Valleys ski destinations. Brides les Bains is a working and authentic town and whilst it is firmly part of this vast tourist region, the town has a totally different feel to it, with a charming genuineness compared to other destinations in the area. A lift from Brides les Bains connects it to The 3 Valleys skiing.

BRIDES LES BAINS RESORT INFORMATION

Brides les Bains has an obvious disadvantage compared to the resorts in The 3 Valleys above it, in that the slopes are more distant in Brides les Bains. That is clear and for those wanting immediate access to The 3 Valleys ski area, without the expense or expanse of Courchevel or Meribel, then La Tania is a good alternative. Where Brides les Bains has a distinct advantage is for skiers and boarders who want to see more of the region than just The 3 Valleys. The 3 Valleys is the biggest linked ski area in France but from Brides les Bains, then resorts including La Plagne, Les Arcs and Val d’Isere far more easily reachable than the either Meribel or Courchevel.
