CHATEL SKIING
Chatel has 2 distinct ski areas. The ski area above the resort of Chatel is known as Super Chatel and links with the Swiss resorts of Morgins and Torgon, 2 of the resorts in the Portes du Soleil ski area. Most of the skiing is intermediate or beginner and there is terrain both above the tree-line as well as through lightly wooded and wooded areas. The second ski area in Chatel is accessed via the Linga or Pre la Joux lifts. From this area there is no direct route into the Swiss resorts on the Portes du Soleil, instead skiers and boarders can access the skiing at Avoriaz via Les Lindarets. Given that many of the resorts on the Portes du Soleil circuit are of low elevation, access to the highest skiing in the whole of the Portes du Soleil is a significant bonus.

CHATEL SKI INFORMATION
For advanced skiers and boarders to Chatel there is really very little in the way of challenging terrain. Further afield in the Portes du Soleil there is an equally large bias towards beginner and intermediate terrain.
