COURCHEVEL 1650 THE RESORT
The resorts in Courchevel tend to follow a pyramid structure and Courchevel 1850 is very much top of the pile in terms of exclusivity and facilities. The next resort down the mountain road, Courchevel 1650 offers a good value option that has pretty good access to the slopes if far less slope-side accommodation. Courchevel 1650 is mainly low-rise and although modern has a pretty ok feel to it. Accommodation is available around the base station as well as along the main piste back to Ariandoz gondola. Other accommodation is located away from the ski pistes and lifts and whilst Courchevel 1650 is fairly narrow and stretched out along the road, there is a short walk or bus required from some accommodation.
THE GOOD, THE BAD
We like:
Better value than Courchevel 1850 with a good atmosphere
We don`t like:
All skiing is above Courchevel 1650 so some accommodation less convenient

COURCHEVEL 1650 RESORT INFORMATION
The centre of Courchevel 1650 offers a reasonable amount of facilities including bars and restaurants and the central area, although close to the road and the through traffic is essentially a fairly attractive area. Prices crucially tend to be lower in Courchevel 1650 than in Courchevel 1850 for all things including accommodation, nightlife and dining.
