COURCHEVEL 1650 SKIING
Courchevel 1650 accesses the superb skiing of Courchevel 1850 and beyond into 1550, 1300 and the rest of The 3 Valleys. The main ski area just above Courchevel 1650 is open and ideal for intermediate and beginner skiers. There is a childrens learning are around the base station and a lift serving Mickey enclosure. Unlike Courchevel 1850, Courchevel 1650 does not have any skiing below it and therefore access to some of the resort areas is only possible by foot. The ski area where Courchevel 1650 and 1850 meet is one of the better areas in the region, with the Creux piste in Courchevel 1850 offering an excellent ride through the valley for skiers and boarders returning to the Courchevel 1650 area from 1850.

COURCHEVEL 1650 SKI INFORMATION
The one quite strange aspect of the skiing in Courchevel 1650 is the tree cover. Trees usually tend to thin with altitude, and in general it is the lower latitudes that have higher tree cover than higher area. In Courchevel 1650 there is no tree cover at resort height, nor in the ski area just above the resort. Higher up at Bel Air there is light tree cover that is ideal in poor weather for off-piste skiing and boarding. The Indiens themed ski route also has tree cover but for the majority of the ski area the skiing is exposed and can be tricky in poor weather.
