COURCHEVEL 1850 SKIING

The skiing in the entire Courchevel area offers some of the best terrain in the entire The 3 Valleys ski region. The 3 Valleys ski holiday region is rated as about the best in France meaning that Courchevel skiing comes with some high degree of recommendation. Courchevel 1850 is best placed to access the skiing and has the highest elevation. The lower ski pistes in Courchevel 1850 are a pretty forgiving cluster of blues and greens that wind down to the base station. Toward Chenus and the Meribel side, the pistes are mostly blue, whilst La Saluire offers some of the most demanding skiing in the Courchevel 1850 region. The lower slopes just above Courchevel 1850 are tree-lined and ideal for beginner skiers and families.

COURCHEVEL 1850 SKI INFORMATION

For intermediates the red down from Saulire, the Creux is a great option. It is long, high and has superb views. The descent changes from track sections to steeper areas and back to a wide and undulating route along the valley floor. Accommodation in Courchevel 1850 is often located close to, or on the ski pistes. There are some excellent restaurants located on the ski pistes although check the price of the menu first, there are some astonishing prices in Courchevel 1850. One of the really impressive features at Courchevel 1850 is the Bellecote surface lift that is free to use and offers skiers and boarders the chance to try out the sport on a very forgiving piste that runs back down to the centre of Courchevel 1850.
