COURCHEVEL SKIING
As with all ski areas in The 3 Valleys, Courchevel offers an absolute paradise for intermediate skiers and boarders. The runs are usually blessed with great snow, are wide and often boost the ego of those cruising them. The lift network in Courchevel is extensive and away from the resort runs there is some challenging skiing and boarding to be found. The chutes from the top of the Verdons lift are hidden but famous in Courchevel. Ski runs bisect the outrageously inviting piste side chalets in Courchevel 1850 and much of the accommodation in the Courchevel resorts offers good access to and from the slopes. Courchevel 1650 is located at the very edge of The 3 Valleys ski area but this ensures the least amount of ‘through traffic.’

COURCHEVEL SKI INFORMATION
Still the source of much argument, the Courchevel ski area has a good claim to be being the best ski area within The 3 Valleys ski region. Courchevel is located at one end of The 3 Valleys ski area. Courchevel is not the highest ski area in The 3 Valleys but it is reckoned to have some of the best snow. The Courchevel resorts and ski area neighbour the other giant of The 3 Valleys and (French skiing), Meribel and whilst the area has outstanding ski terrain, Courchevel has the bonus of not being the thoroughfare that Meribel certainly is. Skiers and boarders going to and leaving Courchevel all pass through Meribel and as a result the numerous pistes there can suffer heavy traffic.
