LES DEUX ALPES SKIING
Les Deux Alpes offers a sizeable 200km of ski pistes, one of the biggest glacier skiing areas in the Alps and a huge terrain park. Blue pistes form the biggest percentage of the terrain but there are equal amounts of green, red and black. Despite the fact that there are numerous green pistes on the doorstep of Les Deux Alpes, there exists the unusual and pretty unhelpful situation whereby the difficult terrain is located slightly further above the resort than the band of green nursery slopes, whilst the easiest high up on the glacier the easiest ski pistes are to be found. The runs back to Les Deux Alpes can be tricky and crowded and for many lees good skiers and boarders a download in the gondola is usually the best option at the end of the day.

LES DEUX ALPES SKI INFORMATION
Timid intermediates have the issue of the tough and crowded runs back into Les Deux Alpes but beginners have a good band of green runs that skirt the length of the resort. Better skiers and boarders will certainly enjoy the challenging terrain that can be found in Les Deux Alpes. Off-piste terrain in Les Deux Alpes is extensive, whilst the ski area joins the famous La Grave area around the Dome de La Lauze. La Grave offers genuine extreme terrain and a guide is absolutely essential. The area can be reached, skied or boarded and returned from easily in a day.
