LES DEUX ALPES SKI HOLIDAYS

With a huge glacier to ski, summer skiing, serious après ski and some great advanced skiing and boarding, Les Deux Alpes is an impressive resort. The scenery around Les Deux Alpes is spectacular and whilst the resort is much maligned for its appearance, there are bigger alpine atrocities in the French Alps. Les Deux Alpes is a drawn out resort and the centre can be a slog on foot from some accommodation. Unfortunately many visitors see the car as the answer and traffic through the resort is heavy. And whilst the resort is no beauty, it is also no Les Menuires; Les Deux Alpes lacks charm but is not overwhelmingly offensive, just a little dreary in parts. The skiing is impressive and but for the crowds, it is one of the best in the region.

REVIEW RESORT AND WIN

LES DEUX ALPES SKI HOLIDAY INFO

The skiing and boarding in Les Deux Alpes is extensive, there is a vast glacier, a huge terrain park and some great advanced skiing. Crowded and difficult pistes back to the resort are a problem. Après ski in Les Deux Alpes is impressive. The centre boasts many bars and the site of sports clubs and stag / hen parties is common. The nearby city of Grenoble adds a more French feel on weekends. The resort of Les Deux Alpes comes in for quite a bit of stick. It certainly lacks charm and is drawn out along the valley. Lifts leave from many areas of Les Deux Alpes but the centre can be a good walk.
