LES GETS SKI HOLIDAYS
Les Gets offers great access from Geneva airport and is one of the best family ski holiday resorts in the Portes du Soleil ski region. The skiing in Les Gets is limited to beginner and intermediate skiing and whilst it is on the margins of the Portes du Soleil ski region, it has good access to the Morzine ski area and offers skiing on both sides of the valley around Les Gets. The resort continues to grow but remains low-rise and is ideal for families, with easy skiing and good resort atmosphere. Skiing is offered on both sides of the valley and whilst the resort is spread over two areas on each side of the main road, there are 3 major locations to access the ski areas. Families rule in Les Gets and apres ski is relaxed with the bars located mainly in the centre.
THE GOOD, THE BAD
We like:
Possibly the best family skiing in the Portes du Soleil
We don`t like:
Heavy through traffic and distant from centre of the Portes du Soleil ski region

LES GETS SKI HOLIDAY INFO
The resort is ideal for families; the skiing is tame, the resort is compact and the atmosphere is relaxed. There is a centrally located ice rink and a tractor train runs through the resort. The main street is jolly but relaxed and there are a number of restaurants on offer in this area. One downside for families can be the traffic. The skiing in Les Gets spans both sides of the valley around Les Gets, whilst the ski area at Morzine is easily accessed from the Les Chavannes area of Les Gets. Les Gets is part of the vast Portes du Soleil ski region and whilst the majority of the skiing is beginner or intermediate, the skiing is extensive with some more advanced terrain.
