MEGEVE SKI HOLIDAYS

Megeve is one of the more established winter holiday resorts in the Alps. It has a long history as a ski holiday resort and retains a real style and exclusivity. The village of Megeve is attractive and chic whilst the skiing has in recent years become something of a secondary visitor attraction in Megeve. Shops, fine restaurants and hotels in Megeve are some of the principal reasons for the predominantly domestic visitor number strength. The skiing in Megeve is extensive and offers tree-lined cruisers for the visiting skier or snowboarder. With Megeve suffering from a rather lowly ski holiday resort height of around 1100m there has been huge investment in artificial snow making capacity in Megeve over recent years.

MEGEVE SKI HOLIDAY INFO

The skiing in Megeve is spread across three lift connected hills. The area is low and lacks connecting pistes, but visitors to Megeve rarely go primarily for the skiing in any case. Megeve is full of atmosphere, fur and charm. The resort has long been a top destination for winter holidays and not necessarily for those wanting to ski. Megeve well deserves its expensive tag. Away from the slopes Megeves’ bars and restaurants attract the wealthy with prices set accordingly. There are cheaper alternatives but they are in the minority, whilst the term cheap is very relative.
