MERIBEL FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS
Meribel is at the centre of The 3 Valleys ski region and offers some ideal skiing for kids and beginners, especially in the tree-lined areas above Meribel Village and the altiport. Facilities that are attractive to families in Meribel include a leisure centre with swimming pool, an ice rink and a bowling alley. Winter walking paths wind through the forest. Après ski in Meribel is extensive; luckily so is the resort. The nightlife can be loud and late, but most accommodation in Meribel is located some way from the centre. As well as offering a degree of seclusion the dawn-out nature of Meribel also means that ski buses are pretty much a necessity from much of the accommodation.
THE GOOD, THE BAD
We like:
Some excellent slope-side accommodation and skiing beneath the tree-line
We don`t like:
Some accommodation is outlying

MERIBEL FAMILY SKI INFORMATION
Being one of the lowest resorts in The 3 Valleys ski area, Meribel offers some of the best options for tree-lined skiing. The 3 Valleys is known for its great snowfall record and especially early in the season the light can be flat. Skiing amongst the trees above Meribel 1450 and Meribel Village is a good option, especially given the fact that the easiest pistes in Meribel are also found in this area. For families wanting a true family resort then La Tania is well worth consideration. La Tania is located in the next valley from Meribel and the ski areas link at the Col de la Loze. La Tania offers a superb location for family ski holidays and has good access to the skiing at Meribel.
