Great resort for advanced and cruising too.
My favourite resort so far. Have been back since and still love it.

MERIBEL SKIING

Meribel is at the heart of The 3 Valleys ski region, occupying the central valley and accessing superb terrain above the resort. Meribel is the easiest resort from which to explore the vast 3 Valleys ski area with excursions to both Courchevel and Val Thorens easily achievable in a day. The skiing above Meribel and The 3 Valleys is ideal for intermediate skiers. The area offers endless wide and gentle ski pistes. Additionally some steeps are on offer from the Tougnete ridge. Beginner skiers are best catered for around the altiport in Meribel, with long and very gentle pistes available as well as a childrens learning area. One issue regarding the skiing in Meribel is the traffic; through traffic to and from Courchevel makes for crowded pistes.

MERIBEL SKI INFORMATION

The 3 Valleys and Meribel are noted for their impressive snow accumulation. It makes the resort of Meribel look pretty, gives beginners something to break their fall but best of all offers the greatest thrill to a skier or snowboarder – powder ! The Combe du Vallon piste offer super fast cruising but just off-piste there are some superb routes back to the lift. One word of warning before you kick the imaginary FIS timing bar at the top of the Combe du Vallon and try and clock some mph; the piste also operates as a mogul field and can embarrassingly spit out of the straight-liner in metres.
