Impressive and extensive area for intermediates but not much for the better skier or boarder. The ski lift system is OK, but gondola doors built for skiers and boarders the size of a swim-suited Kate Moss.

Morzine is probably the best all round resort in the big Portes du Soleil ski region. Morzine is a year round resort and has good facilities for the local and visitor and is an extensive resort with low-rise buildings throughout. With numerous locals, prices are kept more honest than many places in the French Alps.

Easy skiing but some accommodation in Morzine is some way from the lifts.

Morzine has one of the best apres ski scenes in the French.
