MORZINE SKI HOLIDAYS

The ski holiday resort of Morzine has a loyal following of skiers and boarders who come for the charm and atmosphere of Morzine, as well as the skiing which includes access to the vast Portes du Soleil ski region. Morzine is ideally located for flights into Geneva and the Portes du Soleil ski region includes some Swiss ski holiday resorts. The ski holiday resort of Morzine has an altitude of just 1000m meaning that it is less snow reliable than its neighbours such as Avoriaz; that said it does have extensive snow making facilities. Much of the skiing in Morzine is below the tree-line, providing interesting ski pistes and improved visibility in times of bad weather. The resort is one of the most authentic and atmospheric – it is big but low rise with many chalets.

MORZINE SKI HOLIDAY INFO

The skiing and boarding in Morzine favours the beginner or intermediate but since the resort access the vast Portes du Soleil ski region then most abilities will find enough to entertain them. The skier or boarder can readily ski into Les Gets, its neighbour on the Portes du Soleil, whilst a lift leaves Morzine and accesses Avoriaz. Après ski in Morzine is lively and the central area of the resort is often busy with guests. There are numerous bars and there is an international flavour to Morzine with the action going on till late in Morzine.
