The off-piste in Sainte Foy is incredible with the new lift opening up a massive area of new pistes and easier access to the off-piste areas. I learnt to snowboard here and have progressed through to off-piste and back country skiing. The pistes were quite and wide and leant themselves to learners, intermediates can challenge themselves with the easy off-piste and then as they become more advanced tackle things the off-piste La Fogliettaz with a guide.

Sainte Foy has beautiful charm, all the buildings are kept to the local stone, wood and slate style giving the resort a boutique feel. There are no ugly high risers here! There are a limited supply of restaurants, however we went self catered and brought grocieries in Bourg St Maurice before heading into the resort. The supermarket in resort had good stores for topping up where needed. We stayed with Premiere Neige and found the price to be excellent and very competitive with other resorts and with other companies within resort. The property was comfortable and spacious and they didn't cram us in like some self catered properties do - no sleeping on the couch, unless you wanted too!

We went with Premiere Neige in the end because of the great things we had heard about their creche. Having small children aged 3 and 5, we were able to put out 3 year old in full day creche and then our 5 year old went to ski school in the morning and was collected and taken to the creche for the afternoon. We were able to take the children out as we pleased (we did want to spend some time with them!) but this was never a problem. We found the facilities in the creche to be of an extremerly high standard and the nannies, all English speaking, to be nothing but professional and caring. They also provided a babysitting service on the one night us grown up's went out for dinner.
Ski school was quite crowded, as it was half term, however my 5 year old thoruoughly enjoyed himself and the ski instructor was very friendly and spoke very good English.

We love Sainte Foy because it is quiet! Although on the one night we did want to go out and have a few drinks we found that the Iceberg was enjoyable for a quiet pre-dinner drink and the Pitchouli to be on the more buzzing side for after dinner!
