We went with Premiere Neige in the end because of the great things we had heard about their creche. Having small children aged 3 and 5, we were able to put out 3 year old in full day creche and then our 5 year old went to ski school in the morning and was collected and taken to the creche for the afternoon. We were able to take the children out as we pleased (we did want to spend some time with them!) but this was never a problem. We found the facilities in the creche to be of an extremerly high standard and the nannies, all English speaking, to be nothing but professional and caring. They also provided a babysitting service on the one night us grown up's went out for dinner.
Ski school was quite crowded, as it was half term, however my 5 year old thoruoughly enjoyed himself and the ski instructor was very friendly and spoke very good English.

SAINTE FOY SKIING

The Sainte Foy piste skiing is limited to 35km of ski pistes and this area is served by just 5 lifts. The lower section of the Sainte Foy en Tarentaise ski area is wooded with pistes running through the trees. Above the lift station at Cret Serru, the Sainte Foy ski area opens into a wide and exposed bowl. Four main pistes descend for the two top lifts but it is the wide and impressive off-piste terrain that is the best aspect of this area. Amongst locals and the few who have discovered the skiing in Sainte Foy en Tarentaise, most are there to take advantage of some of the best and least crowded off-piste skiing and snowboarding in the region.

THE GOOD, THE BAD

Good  We like:
Sainte Foy is rated the best off-piste skiing in the region

Bad  We don`t like:
With just 5 lifts the on-piste action is limited

SAINTE FOY SKI INFORMATION

Following good falls of snow, there is a small but steady stream of cars leaving Tignes and Val d'Isere, packed with skis and snowboards that are defying normal logic. They are very likely to be heading down to Sainte Foy en Tarentaise to avoid the crowds in Val d'Isere and Tignes fighting for space in the untracked powder. As more find out about the powder of Sainte Foy en Tarentaise the area is sure to lose its abundant fresh tracks as well as its allure.
