SAUZE D'OULX THE RESORT

Sauze d'Oulx boasts an attractive centre complete with a cobbled and pedestrianised centre and church. Roads in the central area are winding and interesting but away from this area, the architecture becomes far more functional and less attractive. Sauze d'Oulx is reasonably compact but connections between accommodation and the ski lifts are far from ideal, whilst ski buses offer a reasonably poor service.

REVIEW RESORT AND WIN

SAUZE D'OULX RESORT INFORMATION

Outside of the pedestrianised centre traffic can be heavy, especially at peak times. Sauze d'Oulx is not ideal for pedestrians outside of the central area as traffic seems to get priority over those on feet. The natural gradients of Sauze d'Oulx, which is built on a steep mountainside is also something of a drawback, as walks between accommodation and the slopes or the facilities of Sauze d'Oulx can become a bit of a slog.

The walk to my hotel from the bus on the first day was a bit long and steep, however, the resort itself is compact and the old part of towns is lovely.
