SAUZE D'OULX SKIING
Sauze d'Oulx is part of the extensive Milky Way ski region. Skiing in Sauze d'Oulx favours the intermediate, although beginners have an OK (if slightly steeper than optimal) area just outside Sauze d'Oulx, with blue pistes extending beyond the main beginners area and lifts. Sauze d'Oulx has a reasonable resort height of over 1500m and above the village in the Sportinia area there are a number of tree-lined ski pistes, almost all red and ideal for intermediates. The neighbouring resort of Sestriere provides a good destination for a ski safari whilst the Sansicario offers some intermediate tree-lined pistes. Reaching the far end of the Milky Way ski circuit at Montgenevre can be pretty time consuming with some poor lift connections.

SAUZE D'OULX SKI INFORMATION
Advanced skiers and boarders need to head off-piste for any real challenging terrain. With a top height at Sauze d'Oulx over 2500m and skiing over 2800m at Sestriere, then some decent powder can be found in the tree-less areas higher up.
