ZERMATT THE RESORT
Stunning! Zermatt is pedestrianised and stylish with a real quality feel about it. The village is enveloped on all sides by towering peaks and the dramatic and iconic Matterhorn looms at the end of the valley. There are few equals anywhere in terms of atmosphere and visual appeal. Shops, bars, restaurants and hotels line the main street of Bahnhofstrasse, with the emphasis on quality throughout. To add to the scene, visitors flock to the main street throughout the day and night. The only traffic in the village are the electric buses and taxis, although horse drawn carriages ferry guests to the main station from the plusher hotels in Zermatt.

ZERMATT RESORT INFORMATION
Zermatt is unquestionably beautiful and has an outstanding atmosphere on its streets. As a ski holiday resort however the drawn nature of the village and the limited incursions of the lift system on the resort mean that some of the accommodation can be a fair distance from the main mountain access points. Getting back to accommodation is far easier and skiers are common on the main street through the village.
