OK, the positives first. Pas de la Casa has good access from France being situated directly on the border. The ski holiday resort owes much of its development to the arrival of visitors attracted by duty free shopping and shops are certainly abundant in Pas de la Casa. Numerous bars and restaurants are located in the centre of Pas de la Casa and the partying spirit is clear. The location at 2100m makes Pas de la Casa the highest ski holiday resort in Andorra and snow is usually pretty reliable on the local ski pistes and around the resort.

PAS DE LA CASA RESORT INFORMATION

The negatives include the architecture and the traffic. Pas de la Casa is located high and the environment is dramatic, yet bleak. Low rise buildings, constructed with regional materials would ideally complement the stark beauty of the area. Not so; Pas de la Casa boasts a stock of buildings that would have found favour in 1970s Eastern Europe. Opinions regarding the architecture in Pas de la Casa rank between functional and grotesque. Traffic is the second main issue, with the town centre often choked and choking the resort.
