SERFAUS SKI HOLIDAYS

Outside of Austria, Germany and Switzerland, Serfaus remains something of a secret and yet is probably in the top 5 best ski holiday resorts in Austria. And for family skiing holidays then Serfaus is very possibly the best resort in Austria. For skiers and snowboarders visiting Serfaus in the next couple of years, serious bragging rights are on offer for discovering one of the finest ski areas in Austria, if not Europe. The ski area is big, intermediate skiers will love the wide cruisers and for the advanced skiers there are huge bowls easily accessed from the ski pistes. The lift system in Serfaus is modern and efficient and the area is linked to Fiss and Ladis to form a big ski region. Package operators don’t go here and it is maybe 30 minutes further transfer than other main ski resorts in Austria – perfect, vive la difference.

SERFAUS SKI HOLIDAY INFO

The ski area in Serfaus is big, it is linked to the neighbouring villages of Fiss and Ladis and it has a very good snow record. Most of the skiing is intermediate but there is one of the best childrens’ learning areas in the Alps at mid-station and for advanced skiers there are endless big bowls for off-piste skiing. The lift system is modern and extensive. The village of Serfaus is upmarket and very much geared to the family guest. Traffic is actively discouraged and there are large underground car parks outside of Serfaus. From these and running the length of Serfaus there is an underground train to take guests from the village stations to the main ski lifts in Serfaus.
